Why do I need offline backups?
Offline backups are those that are not connected to your network where the live data resides. Online backups are good for quick restores but if your premises burns down, or your live systems are compromised by ransomware then your backups go with it.
Offline backups ensure your data is kept securely offsite in case the worst happens, and you need to recover from a major disaster.
How do I install this?
Once your plan is setup ready to go, simply download the installer from your account and then install it on the target computer or server. Then add a plan to your online account and select what you want to start backing up.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes, your account is secured and protected by 2 factor authentication, you can also set a backup password on the computer itself which encrypts the data again so even if someone has access to your control panel they still need the computer password to decrypt those backups.
How do I restore data?
You will have access to the configuration control panel where you will be able to see your devices. Click on your devices, select the date to restore to and then select the file. you will then have a choice to download the file directly to your machine or to push that file back to the original computer to the same or different location.
