Doesn't Microsoft already back my data up?

Microsoft provide the infrastructure and software needed to host your data on their platform, even retaining 30 days of deleted items. They do not however back your data up in a fashion that you can restore it, in their terms and conditions they make it clear that backing up data in case of loss or corruption is the tenant user’s responsibility.

How do I install this?

The software accesses your Microsoft 365 account directly, once you have authorised it to backup data from your 365 account that’s it, you do not need to do anything else and no extra software is required.

Do I keep control of my 365 account?

Yes, you only authorise our software to access the data in your account to back up information to our servers and to put data back in when you restore anything. At any time you can de authorise the software from your account which stops any further access.

How do I restore data?

You will have access to the configuration control panel where you will be able to add and remove users and select what they have backed up. From here you may also restore single files straight back into the 365 system, or alternatively down them directly, exporting all email to a PST file in the case of Exchange online.
